In Christ, the Father has removed us from a world of darkness and has planted us into his marvelous light. It is by the light of the gospel and the richness of God’s grace that we as a church are able to identify with the person being described in Psalm 1.
Our identification with Christ is first established by our adoption into God’s family and secondly evidenced through his righteousness in us, which is in the form of godliness. The Psalmist describes the blessed life as one that never perishes and will prosper in all things.
As Christ followers we can cling to the hope that even in a pandemic we are prosperous in all things and even in physical death we will never perish. Join us Sunday as we finish Psalm 1 and look at two realities of being Rooted in Righteousness.
